I just ordered the Service Manual for Cobalt/Pursuit...

When I get it, I can scan pages for you if you want.

Alright.. I'll do that..

I just reveived a confirmation from Helm that my manual was shipped.. It should take a week or so to get it (Shipped from USA to Canada)...

I'll keep you informed... if you don't hear from me within 2 weeks, send me a PM.. (I tend to forget things )

You will still need to bypass the clutch safty switch since the car is a manual. And make sure that it is in neutral before you remote start it into something.

I don't think the '05's have the chip, but the '06's do.

Most GMs are mainly "pass key" style.(the key will say PK1, PK2 ect. on the shaft). The ignition will read a certain resitance when the ignition is cylinder is turned. You can test the resistance on the wiring with the key in the ignition(you must bump the starter) and tie in a 5 cent resistor to bypass most gm security systems. I will go to work and see if the cobalt is set up this way and try to get the colors that you need to put the resister between.

My 05LS did not have the passkey, I know because I had some keys made at the flea market and they worked just fine. Now my 06SS does have passkey. Kind of strange why some cars do and some don't.

I also believe the 05 cobalt's don't have it at all. At least my key isn't stamped with anything.
