Worked on a Twincharged last night

Fun car!!!

Car is a 06 SS/SC, stock M62 (stock pulley even), 57Trim Turbo, EWG, #60 injectors, Catless exhaust.

The car wouldn't idle worth a crap when he showed up and had some various lil things "off". I got the car to idle perfectly inside of 5 minutes and then we head down to my buddy's shop to weld some exhaust parts for him. After that we took the car out for some tuning and quickly got it in line! I was really impressed with how well ZZP's kit worked on the car, really was seamless! The guy that tried tuning it for him before couldn't figure out how to get it to stop running so rich under WOT, he reduced the EQ Ratio to .78 to try lol. I fixed all that and adjusted the MAF properly and the car ran like a raped ape!!

We then turned the boost on the turbo up a lil bit and dialed the car in yet again, it was just nasty!! Immediate power and it didn't quit for a second to 7K. Ended up running 20psi and leaving it there for now. We ran out of time for the day to keep messing with it, I told him to come back and we'll smooth it out some more still to get it perfect. I wouldn't mind seeing that car again LOL!

(No vids, sorry. I realize that is lame )

I told him we should pulley it down a bit but he said ZZP told him that's a bad idea. I plan on talking to them to see if that's good/bad and why. But I agree LOL!

Yeah, pullied down there has been ALOT of blown motors I can tell you that. However i've never seen one with an upgraded blower.

TVS + 57 Trim Turbo = FULL OF MOTHER FUCKEN WIN! haha

when the turbo spools its like there is no SC... so TVS would be waste of money

^Exactly. Yea Im not saying to drop to a 2.6 or something like that, but 2.9 maybe? It picks up and goes right away but just a lil more from the blower would make it more beast down low. But if he left it like this, there really wouldn't be a problem either lol. Just discussing a lil

On ZZP's site they say that with an upgraded blower (TVS) that you should/could see an extra 50whp

Edit: My b, I read it wrong "Says extra 50whp with the TC kit"

But it would be badass just to say you have a the TVS, 252 or 256, and built motor just to say you do......

interesting.... you should try it out, how much boost do you think it will hit (max)? and would this hurt the engine in the long run?

Totally agree with you man, in fact, I told him when he comes back I will make him a hard pipe inlet and also change the MAF to TB pipe to a 2.75". The kit has 2.5" CP's then it transitions to 3" for the MAF housing then back to 2.5" to the TB. I want to remove that last section of 2.5" and make it 2.75" into the TB. Should also help

That and a 3" exhaust instead of his 2.5"

Oh, I thought they both still worked I got the process mixed up sorry haha

Still TVS + Turbo under the hood would be a bad ass engine bay, you can't deny that

The M62 is just there for early RPM's while the turbo spools so a TVS would essentially be a $2k paperweight with this setup. The idea of it is pretty awesome if it'd actually work though.

This comes in at 12-13psi at 2500 then quickly rises and holds 20psi. Full boost by 3500rpm (meaning the 20psi)

It needs nitrous too! Cause only a Cobalt SS can handle 3 power adders all at once!!!@! It's like a trifecta! O wait...
