It is worth to keep modding without a LSD?

Im running full exhaust, 2.7 on m62 and methanol Im wondering if it is even worth moving to the tvs or to a turbo setup until the stock clutch goes and a G85 LSD goes in.

Car has 70k. lots of highway though, so clutch is just like day 1

Just curious about traction?

Ever run it at the track? How difficult is it to launch?

SelfInfliction- 75 was enough fun for me

And until the clutch dies I have no intentions of upgrading...

the clutch won't die, cause the pressure plate isn't strong enough to hold it against the flywheel

I ran it at the track on stock blower on a 2.7 and E85 so maybe ~290whp or so. Even though I dont have LSD both my tires leave black marks...

In a FWD car LSD matters more for cornering than going in a straight line.

what kind of racing do you do? If you are only drag racing, then no LSD is needed. If you are road racing, then you will need one.

I honestly thought LSD would help with torque steer as well... if I'm rolling at 30 MPH and punch it in 2nd, I still have a hard time keeping the car straight... didn't have that problem before GMS1 though

I just did a 40 ft burnout with one wheel coming out of a turn I could smell/see the rubber coming from the right side of the car... wait? Just right side? What about left side? Oh wait, I don't have LSD

Traction Control off FTMFW!

I know everyone has a different opinion when it comes to LSD and drag racing, but I'm a firm believer in it for dragging. LSD doesn't matter as long as both of your tires are hooking, but all it takes is for one to slip and it's all over. I have LSD in my Cobalt and pull 2.1 60' times consistently, not just every once in awhile. My Mach 1 had LSD as well and hooked great until one night the rear diff clutch started to give in. All night I was doing one wheel peels down the track. All these guys pulling sub 1.7 second 60s on an open diff are running slicks/DRs and/or hooking both wheels. If either tire were able to break traction, it would turn into a smoke show. LSD is not just for turns. I'm not saying that a Non-LSD trans won't pull positive traction, it definitely will most of the time. The difference is that LSD will always pull positive traction, 100% of the time.
