Injectors
with injectors, it's not about how much power can they make, but rather it's about the duty cycle. They are more prone to going static if you introduce too much air to the fuel mixture.
new to cobalts

how Do i know if i have stock injector? the ones i have on the car are lime green color now!
I just got the car a few weeks back so im not sure what the last person before me did to it

I'm currently on 42's with a 73mm pulley, and my car puts down 273 whp on 93 octane and 282 whp on 100 octane mode. Although, I'm not running the M62 it still gives an idea of what the 42's can handle if modded correctly. GM Engineer Bill (more tq more hp) claims the 42's can handle a good amount of power. Remember GMS3 cars use 42lb injectors, and on nitrous mode can make upwards of 300 whp. I would recommend getting 60's though in order to keep injector pw's at bay.
I'm more than likely switching to 60's over the winter to support the 2.7" pulley setup I'm thinking about going with.

The stock injectors are pretty much maxed on the stock 3.35" pulley. I can only imagine what your pw's look like with a 2.9" pulley right now.
Yes, i would look into ZZP's 60lb/hr injectors. Their injectors (well they arent really their injectors) are a nice price, and include the injector harness for only $25.
Take it off until you get 42's or 60's man.

Believe me the car is driving very ruff, i got the car with the pulley on it already and i do not have another one to put on. I will def look into those zzp's and get them asap because i know the car needs it. thanks for the advice i really appreciate it...
DO you think a good tune will be needed as well? and where should i go for that ?
and what do you mean by pw's ?

PW = Injectors Pulse Widths
If you have an interceptor or hpt tuners you can determine how hard your injectors are working by monitoring your injector PW's.
Just ordered some 60lb off zzp's with the harness as well. Hope i get them soon , im going to jut leave the pulley thats on now when i put in those new injectors as well.. I wondering how my mpg will be after the new injectors.... cuz right now my car feels like a v8 lol
thanks again
Your gas mileage isn't going to change from injector to injector as long as the tunes are correct. You obviously need to change your tune whenever you change injectors just to let you know in case it wasn't mentioned.
Either way though going back to the gas mileage side of things, your stoich air to fuel ratio, which should be 14.7 whenever you are not wide open throttle, is always the same. So if you are not requesting a lower stoich, aka 14 flat, then you are not using any more fuel.
Fuel consumption is more about how much your foot is in it, and how well your car is dialed in. If you are running extremely rich because your maf is not dialed in correctly, then you might be using to much fuel. Most cobalts that are modded actually get BETTER fuel economy because of more air entering/exiting there cars at a better rate vs stock. The easier you make things flow and the lighter the car is, the less gas you will use
.
So ya, whether you use stock injectors or 1000cc injectors, your gas mileage should be the same when you are out of wide open throttle.
