your dealer is an idiot.

there are 3 kits available.

Stage 1: Injectors and tune
Stage 2: Pully Belt Injectors and tune

Stage 1 to 2 upgrade: Pully Belt.

from stock to stage 2, you buy stage 2.
you dont buy stage 1, then the stage 1 to 2 upgrade.

That's exactly what you need, just the stage 2 kit, decent price too.

if you search there are some people out there who manufacture 2.9" pullies that look exactly like the stage 2 3.1" pulley so no one will ever know except who you tell

Well I just talked to a dealer about pricing. For Stage 2 kit they want 750 plus 150 to install. I'm not buying it yet just doing some price searching first. That's the only dealer that I've talked to around here. I for sure will call several other dealers around my area before i do anything.

Just got mine done yesterday. $980 plus taxes, installed. Thats Canadian!!! I was looking over the instruction sheet with the kit and it seems as though the supercharger has to be removed to put the puley on, which is probably why it takes so long, 3 plus hours for mine. Goes like hell now though!!!

You can install it yourself and get it flashed at the dealer. It's ok to drive it to the dealer. Just take it easy.

Though it's 2 hours for the install maximum.

Unfortuntely, GM will ALWAYS charge more to do work on your vehicle. Hell, to change out my AC condensor, they were talking like 800 bucks and at least 3 hours of labor. Threw my girl on the lift and it took like 30mins to do a complete swap, taking the old one out and putting the new one back in.
