Yet Another P0315 Problem/Suggestion?

Ok folks, Ill keep this straight to the point as possible.

3 or so months ago installed ZZP can tune for E85 (I know I know..dont do that..yadayada). Started up fine workin great, expected P0315 code throw right away but no driving issues present. That was the only code and has been thus far.

Had it looked at, shop i took it to attempted to reset/relearn but unable to do so, code kept poping up. AFter some troubleshooting and looking at the sensor and such come to find out according to the shop crank bearings are shot (crank walk) and they said it would just be better gettin a used/refurbished engine and swapping it (after my core about $1200) (bascially he said its not worth the time to tear down and rebuild with new bearings when it would be cheaper to just get a new engine basically). Opinions/ Thoughts/Sound like BS? Too much/too little for a swap out?

If this truly is the problem, I think this is prob why I cant run more than a 14.3 on 42s,60s,80s, even on E85 at the track, top end just aint there, my R/T aint too bad either and ive been consistent.

Mods are OTT 3" Intake, mild ported SC w/2.8 pulley, 80# injectors runnin E85 on ZZP tune,Vibrant header/DP/Exhaust, cooling mods (yadayada) Any Input on this, Thanks A Bunch

R/T has nothing to do with your et. And you're probably just 60' in the high 2.3's or possibly worse.

What made them come to that conclusion... Did they say?

Well track talk aside

The shop said they pulled the starter, not sure y, assumin to access flywheel, but said the crank moves back and forth by hand (worn bearings/ big nono) so..idk but 400 to troubleshoot this and give me worse news is kinda irritating.

..and they checked sensors after trying to relearn multiple times.. Build book says iirc sometimes 5 times may be necessary

if that was the case the thrust bearing would be completly gone the crank is supposed to have endplay in it 0.001 to 0.0015 is the specsa on the endplay you need to know how much endplay is there before you determine if the thrus bearing is gone but i would go to the dealer and get them to do a case relearn
