P0315

yesterday i installed OTT stage kit i did the turn on till the security light goes off 3x thing than started the car an everything was fine. Now i'm throwing the code P0315 which is Crankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned....so does this mean that i need to go get a Case relearn from the dealer ? because my car will start just fine an all that right now and runs without a problem (i/e pulled lenghts on a GM Stage 2 balt)

Yes
Any time you change the pcm it needs to be done.

Heres what it says.
Important: The crankshaft position (CKP) system variation learn procedure is required when the following service procedures have been performed, regardless of whether DTC P0315 is set:

• Engine replacement

• Engine control module (ECM) replacement

• Crankshaft damper replacement

• Crankshaft replacement

• CKP sensor replacement

• Any engine repairs which disturb the crankshaft to CKP sensor relationship

ok i've tried to research this an i'm just wondering it this is right. I read that i can do a Case Relearn using a newer Interceptor or Firehawk (i think it was firehawk or something like that)

they say you can do it with the interceptor, but my good friend tried it in his 06ss/sc once and it wouldnt work, so he said, he might have been doing it wrong i dont know but i have heard that you can do it with the interceptor, but 300$ for one or 30 min labor at dealar with the tech 2. either way your going to pay unless you know someone. unless your under warranty.
