Yet another paranoid post

I have noticed lately, mostly because I have been listening to my engine more closely, that during warm-up I get a loud upper end (valvetrain) clack. Is this normal? BTW, I also just got a receipt in the mail from the dealer and they put conventional oil in my car instead of synthetic. It has been in for about 500 miles, and I just changed it back to synthetic.

is your car supercharged? if sot he blowers can be noisy. there are several threads on here with vidios of the noises they make. take a look for them. as far as the synthetic goes i would take it back to the dealership and ream them out and make them put synthetic in for free. do your bitching right on the sales floor and i guarantee you'll get what you want since they want to look good in front of their potential buyers. that's BS they should know the SS/SC's are full synthetic. christ they even have it effin stamped Mobil 1 right on the filler cap! i don't think it will hurt but i'd still be pissed! i guess that's what you get when the dealership hires high school crack heads to change oil. GOOD LUCK BRO!

This isn't the normal supercharger noise, it does go away once the car is warm. It is coming from the timing chain area, under the valve cover. I am going to take the car back to the dealer, to get my money back on the oil, and filter.

The noise is normal, you should hear the 2.4 and 2.2's. The S/C drowns out most of what your hearing.
