Do those actually work in the 2.0L LSJ or does compcams expect people to weld on the hex on the exhaust cam?

Turbo Tim from ZZP is running the Stage 3 cams.

Those are the same cams they ran in the 1900 article in the Hot Rod mag. (I am not sure which stage)

I called compcams today. They didn't seem to know that the 2.2 and the 2.0 had different sized cams and they only had one part number for the ecotec. It's like they just wrote on the website that the cams would work in both but really didn't actually try to fit them in the LSJ.

Even GM says the comp cam exhaust cam wont fit in the LSJ (at the bottom)

May be someone from zzp can clarify here? Is there a specific comp cam kit for the LSJ? Or are they taking the intake came and modifying it to work as an exhaust cam? or taking the exhaust cam and welding on the fitting for the sensor?

If you guys are after cams, get a hold of Bates Engineering. He has billet cam blanks for the 2.0 and then Comp grinds them for him. You will need to buy the solid lifters but Bates has them for about $7. each.

Are their any cam options for people who don't want to deal with solid lifters?

OK I got some more information. COMPcams uses a blank intake cam from the 2.2 and puts the exhaust pattern on it. So it is a custom part.

We order our cams from Comp but they don't support this market heavily so they rely on us for a lot. We have specific ways to order what we need and sell. We clock and lock the hex here before shipping because Comp can't seem to do this.

Thanks, so you finish them off. How would one specify that they are ordering for an LSJ on your site? I does not seem to give a place to choose for 2.0 or 2.2

If it comes clocked as intake, other than throwing a P0017 code, and if you ignore will it still run right? Seem like that throws it off about half a hex.

Worried about going into some weird limp mode at a most inopportune time.
