ZZP Cutch Rod???
hi,
I have Center forces Dual Friction Clutch and flywheel installed in my 2007 ss/sc. I'm looking for opinions on weather or not I will or should purchase the clutch rod assembly from zzp. what are the pros or cons of adding this modification?

LSJ's just like LNF's will benefit greatly using this ZZP rod with an aftermarket clutch. The clamp force of a more aggressive aftermarket clutch is too much for the stock rod to handle. If you don't want to spend the money on the zzp rod right now, you can go ahead and install your clutch and just check on the stock rod every now and then and once you start seeing that it is bending or warping then you know 100% you need to buy the zzp rod.

I have run Exedy clutches since 2004; I have never bent a clutch master pushrod. My car has 50k miles, pushrod is fine.
The LNF firewall plate poening slot for the M/cyl is reinforced because it yielded on the LSJ; the plastic m/cly housing has broken for us in racing, but the pushrod I have never seen bent. Stands to reason when you think about it. Just sayin'

I agree. I just read over my last post. I guess it does sound like I'm implying that indeed it will bend no matter what lol. In my opinion, I think it all depends on which clutch you get and how aggressive it is. That's why I didn't recommend buying the zzp rod right now; because possibly he won't even need it. But hey I can't question you though; I know you know your stuff lol. Just saying mainly that it is a possibility and it's something that you should look for just in case; and if so then the zzp rod is a good alternative.

Thanks for all the input guys. I think I will be buying the clutch rod down the road. I'm really interested in seeing what it will do to the feel of the pedal and my shifts.
