if you look at the zzp midlength header and the pacesetter header they are damn near identical! not that important but i just thought they looked the same.

i wouldn't be surprised if they were manufactured by the same people or just modified Pacesetters to be honest

The guy who installed my zzp midlength header/dp combo said that he had done a pacesetter and it was a pain in the ass. Said he would never do it again and told me to recommend zzp to anybody coming to his shop.

similar piping design.. larger tubing and collector.. for the zzp,

from what i understand zzp makes that stuff in house and they send it out for coating

the pacesetter is as easy to install as the zzp, minus the dp issue. and they are the same header no denying it. or zzp copied it. pacesetters 1 3/4" primaries and 3 " collector, same as the zzp. zzp only cutt of the ball socket thats it. if they made it inhouse how come they dont go stainless like they do with their shorty?

i got one and measured it 1 3/4's primary and 3" collector, the ball socket necks it down to 2 1/4"

I think ZZP just ripped off the design and improved it a little...

to be honest lots of people knocked of pacesetters not just cobalt but in alot of other markets, Like Jethot, OBX, ebay headers, Hooker and a few others. people who complain havnt had first hand experience, and they just want to give negative feedback cuz of hear say of the crap they used to produce several years back, like late 90's when their manufacturing department was in mexico, and they have since moved back to arizona i believe,

I've had experience with my cavalier 4 years ago and i had no issues what so ever, fit nice and snug, noticable gains, no leaks. I know several people who have em on LS1 cars and have no complaints either. I'm not in no way knocking the ZZP header, its a great header and dp setup produces good gains as well. reason why I opted for the Pacesetter is cuz good all cali Smog ****'s and the Pacesetter is 50 State Legal, that and i've had good success with them and seen good results on other cars.

to be honest o nly 4 headers to consider for the cobalt, thats pacesetter, ZZP, Vibrant, and CTI, all because their midlength headers, Shorties are a waist of money imo.

yea.. i think midlengths are really the way to go these cars...

there's a reason alot of copanies use the same design... probably cuz it works

personally i went with zzp because i heard great things about them.. and i got in on a group buy so i got their most expensive setup for about 150 off lol which is what it would've cost me to get the pacesetter and get it modified and the down pipe rigged
