Talking ZZP Intake

Ok So I just installed the ZZP Intake.
The install was quite difficult. Much harder then the K&N Typhoon install.

The intake comes in two sections with 2 rubber connectors and a K&N Air Filter. Larger then stock it appears, wich means more air intake Yippie!

They did NOT include instructions, or hardware with the kit. Fortunaly I still had the lil rubber bumper to cover the sharp metal edge where the intake tube goes down into the fender well. ZZP did not include this with their kit, but I still had my from when I had the K&N. Also there was no Dry Charger with the filter. As low as it is, I opted to by one on my own. Instructions may have made the install much eayser but after some experemtenting I finnaly got it all installed. It's a pretty tight fit. The rubber couplings did give me some wiggle room. The crank case breather hose almost didn't reach.

There are a few spots where you have to watch. Gladly I'd like to saythat I am NOT rubbing on my brake lines, as my K&N did and the PCM does not rub on it either!

Well Eventully I got it all installed. I think ill make an appointment with the Dyno next week and see how she does compared ot the K&N Typhoon. (Dynoed at 232 Hp @ 6500RPM with the K&N Typhoon)

Anyways after several hours of working in the hot sun, downing ALOT of Gatoraid and Power aid, sweating mostof it out. I FINNALY finished. Too my car for a test drive and it was FUN! I Loved that sound of that SC Wining up. I Rode 2nd gear WOT all the way to 70mph! (7, 000 RPM Rev Limit) Had my intercepotrs set to monitor AFR and Fuel Trims. AFR was fine, It droped to 10 for the WOT run, then ran prety much 14.6 after that. Long term trim was trimming down, so it seems i leaned it out some. That was good my old Long term trimws were in the high - teens, Now its down to the mid , low -teens and even down to -10 sometimes at cruise ive seen it go to -7. So now my Trims are better

Ill let you know how it does on the Dyno but so far I think it was prety much worth the effort. Note for ZZP though: They should include the lil rubber stuff to go arround some of the sharp metal edges. Instalation directions, and hardware, and a dry charger for the air filter. I had to buy mounting screws from Lowse for my MAF Sensor. My stock ones didn't fit.
Overall I am happy with it

i love my ZZP intake. It was a bit of a bitch to get on, like you said, and was a tight fit but overall i love it. It's nice and quiet at normal driving speeds but once you mash the throttle the SC comes to life.
