zzp pcm

Ok so I have a 2005 SS/SC with stock pulley and injectors, Now I came across the ZZP pcm which is a canned tune and it shows 18whp gain with stock pulley. So I'm wondering if anyone else has it with stock pulleys that could give me some feedback on the product.

Thanks

I highly doubt that your going to get any to very little hp with stock injectors and stock pulley still on it.

Yea, your injectors are maxed out and your running a supercharger not a turbo so you can't just add little bit of boost when you want..You gotta go smaller pulley. Only way your going to make any power is get bigger injectors then you can start adding better hp to the car.

if you want to utilize the power you have you could start with better mounts

good point, thats what I started doing. I've been working on mount's and way to reduce wheel hope because If your wheels are spinning your not winning...That's my philosophy on that subject.

Im getting parts in this order

1.Suspension/Mounts - Need something to keep the wheels on the ground
2.Cooling Mods - Gotta keep the heat soak away
3.Performance upgrades - Need something to smoke those mustangs.

That is honestly how I go about modding every car i get and in that order.
Suspension always first because wether the car goes fast or not a nice drop and wheels always looks good, and if you do performance first you wanna see how fast it goes weither its straight or curvy roads right after an instal. If you have suspension done first then you can handle the corners at higher speeds whereas if you have stock suspension and your trying out a freshly installed performance part it can be dangerous throwing the car into corners at higher speeds then before that said part.
Also your car can be quicker through corners even stock motorwise with a good suspension than vs stock.
Cooling before dropping pullley sizes is just good insurance, thats the biggest problem with these cars and addressing it first is a great way to help protect your motor.
Performance last because you have your two safetys covered.

Yea I don't understand why so many people go and throw a smaller pulley and bigger injectors but don't have the other mods to support it and they wonder why they r not putting out the numbers they should.

Btw, that was me that added you to aim this morning "corysti"

Not to down you (which is what's been going on) but I was going to do the same thing at one time, but decided not to. It really doesn't yield any power at all. If you're looking for power gain, then it will have to start with small things first. My list goes like this:

1.) Air box mod
2.) Ingalls ETD
3.) Stage 2 "custom tune"
4.) "stu-mod"
5.) Injen air intake.... beats air box mod by a mile

And I'm a power hungry guy, suspension comes last on my list, although it is plausible to have a better suspension to rid of all the slouching in the rear when drag racing.

Bring it on man, I'm just waitin' . Suspension comes 2nd after power adders, it's not that much of an improvement..but it is an improvement. All I have to do honestly is put half-deflated footballs underneath the shock absorbers in the rear to aid in the squat issue.
