ZZP phenolic IM spacer

Wow best $100 I ever spent. I know ait2's are subjective to this and that but whatever I'll post my experience. Usually on a 90 degree day I would see a 20-25 degree difference from iat2 to ait1 cruising on the highway, with mods in my sig without spacer, but today they were about 14-18 degrees cruising on the highway after I installed the spacer keep in mind this is when it hot as ***** outside. The biggest difference is sitting at idle and cruising around town, ait2's stay so much lower. Haven't had a chance to see what they are at night when it's cooler out. I can't believe this mod isn't more publicized for the ss sc crowd.

I'm sorry BYT I know you're coming out with a batch of them but I'm an impatient **** plus I had to order some other stuff from them. Without a doubt I know yours will perform just as well.

UPDATE for night driving results.....cruising home on the highway tonight I averaged 7-11 degrees over ait1. Here's some video I just took.

i wonder if the tvs will pose a problem due to the bigger size.
or even the bigger blowers.

I saw a post on gmsprtcompct.net......spelt wrong hoping this site doesn't filter it........that rodimusprime made about having a Im spacer, supercharger spacer, tvs, and had to run a 2.8 or 2.9 pulley in order to clear the front on the car

I plan on running a tvs in the next few months and will be doing some research so I can still run the Im spacer

I had a couple of those machined for my Quad 4 engines 10 years ago. They were quite effective just to the touch. I never had a method to measure the IAT though.

Does it mess with the belt tension at all?
How thick is it?

I didn't measure it but if I had to guess I'd say around 1/4 inch maybe, could be wrong though. With my stock tensioner, 2.8 pulley and stage 2 belt everything still fit fine. Only thing is the bolt for the lower intake manifold bracket didn't line up anymore so right now the bolt isn't in, no problems but ive been meaning to ask zzp about it

I have the IM spacer with TVS and had no clearance issues even with stock pulley. As far as the lower IM bracket the spacer kit should have come with three aluminium washers approx 1/4 inch thick that you put behind the bracket to space it out as well.

The website said those spacers are for the intercooler pump bracket not intake manifold bracket so i didnt put them in yet because I was pressed for time. I guess it's a typo. Dammit I gotta tear everything apart again

Ya the intercooler pump bracket needs to be bumped out so the bolt under the LIM lines up.

Found this photo online and thought I'd share so people dont run into the same problem. The 3 spacers bump out this bracket so that bolt will thread into the intake manifold. Ill be doing that tomorrow if I have time.

Right now I don't either and everything seems fine but I don't feel comfortable leaving stuff undone. How long have you been running your car with out that bolt

You've got *****. I wouldn't run without it esp with the spacer in there. Because the SS bolts for the spacer are longer and the mani is gapped so to speak from the head by the spacer it allows more bolt to stretch. There would be tons of torque on those bolt when the supercharger is under load. The bottom bolt holds up the mani without that bolt the mani is just hanging off the head.
