I am running the ZZP Stage 3 axle setup and need to know if we can turn off the ABS light with HPT?

The setup from zzp gives you new control arms and new hubs and takes away the abs option. I am just looking for a way to turn it off since it displayed on my dash. Its not a option with HPT since its ECU vs a BCM. So from what i have read and asked around about is its a tech II available option.

Still waiting to hear back from zzp but as of not this is what i came up with myself.

Stage 3
Same race quality axle as stage 2 with oversized outboard hub and spline
-New wheel hubs included to accommodate larger ends
-Rated to 650HP
-Includes control arms and ball joints
-Disables vehicles ABS.
-Lifetime warranty

I use to butcher my car when i was about 15 years younger, not doing that anymore.
Steve Zoomer and Matt all sent me a seperate email today saying they are going to look into it.

ABS light is coming from EBCM.

You can clear it with a tech 2, but will come back on instantly.

\its easy. 2005 -2007 cobalts ran a \delphi /\boshc abs system. \the wheel speed signal is wrong when you run the "stage 3" which is basically 2008-2010 LNF knuckles and bearings and axles. The 08 up 'balts ran an ATE abs system the wheel speed counts are wrong and abs willnever work.

The work around we use ( never use the LNF bearin in an LSJ ) is not cheep. A Pontiac grand am wheel bearing has the right toothcount for abs and accepts the LNF axle. We have run this set up in Grand American racing for years.

We also used floating rotors and 5 x 114.3 wheels so it made it easy.

\you have to machine both the outer face and the hub centric of the ga wheel bearing and redrill (already the pattern is there on aftermarket wheel bearings from SKF) to 5 x 110.

we can do that for you if you want, you can get it done yourself I just gave you the road map

. I am not sure why ZZP offer a set up that disable abs, I have seen it here on customers cars and rectified it, but you now have wheel bearings you dont need if you upgrade. From ZZP's point of view, they did say abs is disabled, and clearly for drag racing no one cares about abs brakes. For the street its different.

there you go.

i appreciate the post and info along with it.

From my point of view. I actually hate abs and prefer not to have it on my car the only issue i have is looking at the light. I dont want to pull lights in the cluster etc and was just checking to see if it can be turned off somehow.

I dont plan on changing the setup in reference to axles since they carry a lifetime warranty.

put a piece of tape over the light? I like abs, it makes it hard to make flat spots, and slicks are expensive.
