Unhappy zzp stage 3 problem?

hey, was wondering if someone might know whats going on or has had this problem. i bought and installed the stage 3 zzp kit with the S3 heat exhanger for my 07 supercharged ss, and i have a zzp 3" intake with a DC sports 4 to 1 header, its short like my manifold, and no cat. when im under full throttle my engine temp increases quick to 200 or so and if im just riding on the interstate it stays between 187 and 196 and i know that when my car was stock it never got above 185 while driving. does anyone know if this is normal or what needs to be done?

yea. your supposed to bleed it or else you get air pockets that cause issues like the one your having. basically all you gotta do is remove the small bolt on the stock h/e and pour coolant into the fill reservoir. pay attention to the stock h/e where you removed the bolt from.. it should bubble out the air pockets that have collected in your system. keep adding coolant until all you see coming from the hole is a stream of coolant. once you see that, plug the hole with the bolt and your good to go. make sure your doing this with the car running so the ic pump is doing its job and pumping the coolant though the system.

your h/e has nothing to do with your coolant temp at all. i would see if your thermostat is starting to get stuck closed. when i was zzp reflashed i only seen 199 while idling for a LONG time, cruise i was and still am at 183 in the summer and 180-178 in winter.

I agree with 06 ss all day. I removed and let all my old coolant drain out before i ever installed the zzp s3 h/e. I then bled it filled it up while the key was turned over and was good to go.

when crusing i dont see anything over 185 even a wot pull on a hot day i dont get over 185. highest ive seen on my car at idle is 192 and then it drops 2 degress every 30seconds then sits steady right at 182.

I hope u work everything out. What these guys said is all true. Do what they suggested i did it that way and it all worked out great hope it all works out for u

most people bring it on theirselves because they dont take the time to read and understand then post an answer to the question thay is completly out in left field so how was him not bleeding his h.e. going to cause his engine temp to rise

I agree you have a point some people do that. No one hear was giving a dumb answer we were going off of what we did when we installed our systems. Maybe he hooked the hoses up wrong or he could leak coolant or it could be faulty h/e u never know. We were trying to help the kid. Not tart a flame war

ok he can hook the h.e. hoses up any way he wants and it still wont cause the engine temp to rise the intercooling system is its own separate system from the engine think about it and the only sensible answer will come to you
