ZZPerformance Pulley

http://zzperformance.com/cobalt_ion/...ts1.php?id=451

looks like they have 3.2, 3.0, 2.8...i know a couple people are running these on the redline and cobalt SS's...ive seen them in action too. These are often referred to as the "ebay pulley"

share your experiences with the company, and the product..only $60 for a pulley!

This is making me lean towards them over SFPH and bilelltflow hasnt realeased theirs yet.

One question i need answered: can you run the stock size pulley with the SFPH kit?
and i think SFPH sizes are off...for one, the stock size is not 3.5, i thought it was 3.35? Also, SFPH claims you make 14-15psi with the 3.25...the same as the 3.0 inch with other companies, this is why i think that the sizes are off. Maybe the 3.25 from SFPH is really 3.0 when measured the same way as the other pulley, and it says you shouldnt run anything under a 3.25 without a ECU reprogram..>W T F? i thought it was the 3.0 then u need reprogramming...another reason i think SFPH's sizes are off

ANY insight? or help is appreciated!!!!!

I DID measure the stock SC pulley size ; it's 3.35" in effective diameter (top of the v where the belt sit) and it's 3.5" overall outside diameter.

so what are you saying..the 3.25inch from SFPH is really like a 3.0 the other companies are advertising..if so that would make sense

Yes I get mine on E-Bay when it was available. It's running fine, no CEL, no knock retard, 3 PSI more boost (with by-pass valve selenoid disabled), great and cheap mod !

ZZP makes great products and has always done good by me. Ofcourse there will be people on here who are going to bash them, but thats expected about any vendor. But they are a large vendor in the GP community, so don't worry about not getting any customer service or them ducking out with your money.

I bought one of the 2.8 pulleys and it looks great. Just like the stocker but smaller.

I haven't been able to put it on yet because my plans to buy the adjustable tensioner pulley bracket got foiled when I lost my job a couple of days ago.

Can't wait to throw it on my RL.

One thing that would make me lean towards ZZP is the fact they are located in Grand Rapids, MI and it is a lot closer than SFPH. So this might have the opposite effect if I lived in Florida, depending how far away it is.

I didn't note any difference with the SFPH 3.25, no more PSI, or power. The 3.0 SFPH I definetly noticed a difference.

Yes you should run a one step colder cooper plug. NGK BKR7E are pretty popular among Red Line owners.

Question

So let me get this straight. What I'm reading is that I can replace my stock pulley with a smaller one and expect to receive more boost, therefore more power. And the MINIMUM size I can go is 3.00" WITHOUT having to reflash the ECU or install a piggy-back system. Do I have this right??

Ive had sfph pulleys for my MP112 and they were fine(aside from high grit sanding the hub of the pulley to fit on the snout shaft); Ive never had zzp's pulley's, but Ive heard they are just fine. Ive had my issues about quality with them, but nothing to do with pulleys.
I didnt have a problem with sfph in regards to pulley sizes. Sorry I cant help you there.

...or selling you something that is untested and when it breaks, telling you it was "installer error". But, I don't know anyone who has EVER done that before

ZZP has Ecotec specific press-on pulleys and a Ecotec specific MPS too. Looks like they are adding stuff every day.

I have bought lots of stuff from ZZP for my GTP and have always had great service and fast shipping. They also offer lots of honest advice over the phone.

You're damn right. A 3" pulley will give you 2-3 PSI more boost, roughly 10 to 15 more HP and same thing fot he torque, will boost sooner, will run great for 60$ a great mod.

silverSS, our DUB 3.25" is an accurate 3.25" in pulley diameter, as are the other sizes we have for Eaton Model 62 Supercharger. All our pulley sizes are measured onto of the rib area, inside of the pulley itself, not in the bottom of the grooves, which supports the supercharger belt. Hope this helps.
