ZZP's HPTUNER FILE

so im looking to get ZZP Stage 3 and i see that i have a couple of options for the tune. now.. i see that i can get them to just send me an hptuner file. im looking to get hptuner anyway but has anybody done this with zzp? basically i eventually am getting hptuner and the zzp stage 3 with a custom tune. but for now im trying to see if i can get the stage 3 and make due with the zzp hptuner file. so if anybody has done this or heard of somebody whos done this pleas let me know.

i dont think anyone will send it to you, but its a canned tune and its good for what it isur best bet would be to just get a custom tune in the first place

ya im thinking the same thing. and im not looking for somebody to send it to me. zzp offers it instead of a pcm. theyll send u an hptuner file. which i plan on getting an hptuner kit anyways. so i was just wondering how the zzp hptuner ran so i could live with that for a couple months after i get my stage 3 until i can afford a custom tune. but thank u. i think im better of waiting until i have the money for everything.

Nobody can accurately tell you how a canned tune will run. More than likely the injector tables have been changed which then you will need a MAF/VE re tune to get the car idling, part, and WOT fueling correctly. Timing will need to be adjusted to what you car wants. Its not easy saying "Yah it will run ok" when it is what it is... a canned tune.

My opinion, save for a custom tune then install all parts and get the tune to get the car running correctly.

Its most likely a trip. But my personal opinion would be to schedule a day you got time and take a nice drive out to Nick (BYT) in E Stroudsburg and get tuned. He is the best option on the east coast.

I loaded a ZZP Stage 3 file onto my friends car. Ran perfectly fine after. Just needs to be tuned. It is a canned file.
