So if I were to get the proper lash adjusters, what would stop me from going stage 3 instead of stage 2?

My idle rpm on my S1 cams is damn near stock around 850-900 rpm, but she lopes cold or warm.

you don't need any special lash adjuster to run the zzp stuff

My red one I had idle at 950, and yes it sounded stock most of the time. Once in a while you'd catch a little lope. The gray one idles pretty much like stock all the time except when cold, you can tell a little.

one thing with cams is it makes it easier to make power you don't have to run a super small pulley or a lot of timing to achieve the same results as a car with stock cams and a small pulley

But then when you add the small pulley and the timing WITH the cams, the fun begins. If it can be faster on the same setup, why leave anything on the table? lol :P

The main gain I liked on mine was the gain in torque throughout the whole powerband. The peak gain would have been higher if I had the ***** to rev to 8k but its my DD so nope.

At the track I said I don't care what happens. Launch, 1st to 8100, 2nd to 8100, then rode 3rd out lol, only about 5 times in a row. Then the limiter went back to 7600 after the track.
