thanks again for the info heath!

here's some pics from the weekend...

intake mani is fixed!

friday - got the front bumper off...

...and my dog got jealous that he wasnt getting his pic taken lol

saturday - got the intake mani, IC pump, spark plugs, injectors, idler assembly, etc, in...

sunday (today) - made some new brackets for the heat exchanger, got that on and got the hoses ran...thanks to my dad & bf on that one lol

so things are moving along! still wondering about the whole MAF/MAP wiring deal though so if anyone has any information on that, that would greatly help!

no, manual...the bracket was easy to get on, for me, it was getting the bolt through the mani to the bracket that was a bitch becuase by that point, i already had my alternator and such back in place so it was just a tight space to get at lol

OR if you like take from the stock MAF to the new MAP and omit that wire from the stock MAF. (IE - the stock MAP connector is no longer needed, but what about the wires from the stock MAF? do they get spliced into with the wire from the new MAP?)

i guess i know (i think) that the stock MAP connector will be completely cut off and those wires soldered to the new MAP, correct? so then the wires from the stock MAF, are they spliced into the new MAP or cut completely off and omitted from the stock MAF to put onto the new MAP? and which tan wire from the stock MAF is the correct one to use? lol i cant really find anything that gives detail about wiring that except for that diagram, but i'm not trying to cut up anything until i'm 100 percent positive on what i'm doing lol.

oh my bad the outside tan wire is the signal for the IAT the tan wire next to the center pin is the Low referance. this is what you do, you cut the IAT wires from the MAF sensor conector MAKE SURE YOU LABEL THEM BEFORE YOU CUT then conect them to the conector for the new MAP sensor. The IAT sensor built into the MAF snesor is unused and sould not be left un conected. You then cut the wires from the OLD MAP sensor conector and conect them to the new MAP conector
just FYI the pinout of all cobalt MAF sensors are the same the 2.2 just uses diferent color wires

sorry I edited that and left it in there, it should read "the IAT built into the MAF sensor should be left unconected"
