07 Cobalt LT Coupe

Alright, ive read a lot of threads on the turbo/superchargers. But I havnt found a straight answer as of yet.

My question is, if I was to buy a Turbocharger is there tuning available for it? The 2007 model that is. I have an automatic.

Garrett just released their Alpha Turbo kit with full tuning through SCT. That is one option for you. You can also go with the Alpine turbo kit that uses a piggyback system.

While you say you haven't found a straight answer yet, I can assure you there are plenty here on this forum. Did you read this thread?

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l-l61-performance-tech-45/l61-turbo-super-forced-induction-information-thread-26325/

That is an up-to-date sticky right in the 2.2L performance section.

The Garrett kit will not work on the 2007's due to the new ECM.

I don't know if the Alpine kits tuning or physical fitment to an automatic will work on a 2007. I do know that they have no tuning for the transmission, so that really won't work either.

Simple answer, there is no single kit you can buy right now that will work on your car.

Your best bet lies with HP Tuners releasing support for the car, but we don't know if they ever will.
