Trying to figure this out. Ive been told an LSJ manifold wont do anything to an 07 2.2 because its the same. I swore someone said the same thing about the throttle body.

I have fully bolt ons now, and before I do a final tune when i install my midlength setup im just wondering if its beneficial to get a 2.4/LSJ TB to finish it off.

What do you guys think? Any gains?

 

LSJ throttle body is different from the LE5 one. Id Imagine the LSJ tb is too big for a 2.2. The 2.4's only see a small gain with the LSJ tb. From what I know most of the 2.2 guys go with the LE5 tb. Then again Im not up on the 2.2's.

 

I just want to know if its worth the $100 or whatever it costs if im barely gunna gain anything, I barely felt an increase with the 2.4 intake manifold when i had it done.

 

to run lsj tb you need the zzp adapter plate. as for gains, youll have to wait for the 2.4 guys to chime in and tell there stories

 

you can get a 2.4 TB for like 50 bux and it bolts right up. i wouldnt go with an LSJ TB for the money

if you have a friend that can machine stuff and all that then you could get a adapter plate made from him you would just need to get dimensions of the plate first. And you could pick up a lsj tb pretty cheap too.

I didn't get rapped. I had to have the adapter plate and it was 129 and the tb was 100. Suppose to be brand new but it wasn't.

What kind of gains do u get with. 2.4/lsj tb? Power? More sound? Keep in mind ill tune for it
