2007 2.2 Tuning questions--

Just wondering how many,if any, other people have tuned 2007's and what mods you have done.

Im specifically curious about which throttle body to use. From my understanding 2007's have several differences from the 05-06 models, and the 08+ models are LAP's.

Ive done full bolt ons except for a the throttle body. I had the car tuned with the stock manifodl and dp, now ive done a 1.75" midlength catted setup.

My main concern, which im not even sure if there is a way to tell, is that if i get a 2.4/LSJ TB and retune for that + the midlength setup, am I going to gain any power? I literally felt no gain from the midlength setup except high rpms on the highway like 60-70mph+

And what exactly do I need to run a LSJ/2.4 TB on an 07? pin adapter?

I just dont want to waste more money and stuff that will barely make a difference. I felt like the 2.4 manifold barely did anything, same with the header/dp. So maybe the tune will help with the tb... ? or just save money, sell car.....or save money and supercharge it...

You will never be satisfied until you bolt the m62 on there. Trust me - I tried the full bolt-ons route and it was a negligible difference unless dyno tuned. Its so cheap to SC at this point you could be all set for around $1800 with a good dyno tune (Use Ls2edit) trifecta is a huge waste.

thats what im pretty much figuring out. Just dont know if I want to keep the car and go that route yet....Got some thinking to do, plus side is I wont get anything as new with this miles for the money. the types of cars i want to buy that are under $10k are gunna be 10 years old with 100k (was looking for a sedan g35 6 speed)

i honestly cant say about the tune with bolt ons because i never went that route, all i had was a catback & AEM cai before i went supercharged...but i can tell you that with the LSJ tb, you'll need to either buy an adapter harness [i got mine from an ebay seller for like $50 and it's super nice] or repin yours, which i didnt want to mess with lol

mines not a 2.2 but i was doing the bolt on route like taerae and I got bored quick. Had a k&n intake and a catback and was like f this so expensive for minimal gains and i just threw a m62 on it. I can say I was hit with the mod bug pretty hard by it lol. Barely finished paying for the last performance stuff for my car yesterday which is mount from ttr and e85 tune. I'd def say save up and go sc. I drive my friends 2.4 that is stock and im like wtf lol
