08+ 2.4 intake manifold
i'm running mine without a tune, and i've put 15k on with the 2.4l intake, including a drive from michigan to colorado in weather from -5 to 40 with no issues.
Just the manifold. But I might have found the problem. My booster hose isn't clipped onto the manifold, it's just stuck on there. Why won't it clip on, and could that be my problem?
it might be, because it would allow extra air to flow in, it might be easier to remove the clip and get a hose clamp (never really a fan of the quick connect style plastic clips chevy uses)
Not yet. Tomorrow I'm giving the manifold a good run over with propane to test for a vacuum leak, and if there's not a leak I will most likely switch back to my stock manifold to see If there's something else wrong, or if my manifold was causing it. I was idling around 650 rpm today which can't be good
damn. if you still have problems that sucks.
im debating if i even want to install mine or not. my plans are to get rid of my car once i can get a good job and find another car. i want a ss pretttttty bad but this isnt guna be happening anytime soon possibly next year is when i hope to be getting a new car.
so im not sure if i should install this and go along with my header and tune plan. or say **** it and just install my downpipe since i already have it.
