will the 2.4 Intake manifold bolt up to our enigne without modification?

Yes it will bolt right on. However for the 05 and 06 cobalts I believe you need a tb gasket and plate since they have a different tb than the newer ones. The 07 and 08 models have to have the map sensor hole drilled or bored, using a 15 32 bit. Go to crate engine depot website for more details.
