I guess thats what you have to use for fuel management on these cars...I have heard they are not reliable but I really don't know what else you use with these cars.

But what about injectors? Having an FMU isn't gonna help with stock injectors...

nah u wont need to upgrade injectors.
get a second quote from someone else, its always good to compare a couple more, even if there are a couple different suppliers for different parts.

4 psi isnt a lot of boost from a turbo, if it couldnt, then its a piece of ****. look at the specs before you buy it, buy a fmu capable of handling atleast 15psi, even if you dont want that much boost.

personally if i were you i would look into upping that boost to atleast 8 psi, these engines are reliable to 250 hp which is about 12 psi on an unmodded/lightly-modded ecotec. but that is your preference, you can always turn it up later.

hope that helps.

you might want to rethink that statement

even the maximumboost guy wouldn't run his car at 4psi on stock injectors...his stage 1 kit is a bare bones kit only, its not something you should bolt on and be on your way with...

go to the link that I posted on JBO, they discuss his kit and you get both responses from him and others...that should answer any questions or doubts you may have.

he only wants to run 4 psi of boost, ok maybe upgrading for more flow would be beneficial (obviously) but seriously, for that boost? he would be pushing around 185-ish hp at the crank.

yeah but i intend on doing it in parts. Im just going to buy the turbo kit and the FMU now and in a few months ill get the injectors and intercooler and run more boost. My main concern is just making sure that just the bare turbo kit and the FMU will be able to run the 4psi safely until i can buy the intercooler and injectors.

the turbo can go up to like 25 psi but he suggested not going past 8 without upgrading internals. I really would be content with like 8 psi. 250 hp is more then enough for me compared to what im pushing now.

on stock, 250hp 10-11 psi translates to the 250 range, if that helps.

i was gonna say you could run a piece of tubing back from your intake to your drivers seat and blow in it for 4 psi....

So I emailed jtuners and this is what they said
Nick,

Currently, no. We're planning on releasing the Ecotec kit for the Cavalier in
the next 3 months or so then we'll have a Cobalt kit soon to follow. We'll have
updates on the web site when it's available.

Thanks for the interest!

Travis
JTuners.com

So there you go plan for a turbo kit for 2500 this summer, Damn Skippy
