2.2l l61 tuning

Thursday I am getting a tune and a few dyno runs. What kind of gains am I to expect if any really? Anyone else have their 2.2 n/a tuned on here?

One of the main reasons I am getting a tune is not for speed but actually to cancel out the secondary air intake. I have replaced the air pump because of a check engine light. Now its saying irregular air flow or some ****. My inspection runs up in a week and don't have the time to deal with it anymore. SAI is only for emissions anyway and is just a pain in the ass. I cant get the car inspected or emissions ran until I get rid of the light so the easiest option is to just bypass the whole system since its not needed and get the car tuned while I am at it.

I have a 08 2lt sedan with the 2.2 l61 engine. Performance mods are:

1) GMPP short ram
2) ARK catback exhaust
3) Shiftplus module (not really performance I guess)

Any noticeable gains I may actually be able to see? What do you think my car will make on the dyno? Like I said first intention for the tune isnt power or speed. Just to get the SAI taken care of finally. lol Any gains is a plus.

I apologize if that has been answered or if this is in the wrong area...

That didnt really answer any questions for me... What were your numbers after your tune with just the intake?

kill the SAI with a friend from a dealership whom has access with Tech II

I have done that myself also get a trans tune with trifecta or hpt since you are an 08 that way you ditch that shift plus crap...I have used that thing before and the trans tune is night and day

Killing the SAI isn't an issue. That is getting done either way.

The tune is HPT because I am an 08.

The census seams to be around 130hp I guess? Thats pretty shitty in general lmao

Also will do Drum.

you'd be a lot higher with a 2.4 intake manifold and tb and header/downpipe

Eh, a decent amount of parts maybe. Optimistically 140whp. Realistically 130whp.

Basic bolt ons a 2.2 isn't that great. Either spend the money and boost it or save your money for a different car.

Then why waste money on bolt ons if its still going to be a pos? Also some people would rather build a 2.2/2.4 rather than buying a LSJ/LNF.
