2.3 l61?

im going to try this, does anybody know if its been done before? the plan is to get a gen-3 le5 block and put my l61 crank in it (to eliminate and reluctor wheel problems) with forged 88m diameter pistons, ive got an lsj head im going to port ive got stage 2 cams for it. and a full aftercooled LSJ supercharger for it.
The 88mm bore takes the displacement of the l61 from 2198 to 2301. 2.3 liter, im going to aim for 10.5:1 shuld make for a fun daily driver. going in this 02 cavalier Z24 by the way

you will need to check the relucter to block and sensor clearances or just run a stand alone relucter on the frnt of the engine

not true in this case because im using the stock crank. but ive read the thread your talking about and i will explore that option if i need to. but i think the 88mm bore and the 94.6mm stroke will be a whole lot of fun. im planning a bunch of cooling mods and id like to put 300hp to the ground thru a 4t40e. we will see..

the relucters are different diameters and the block depth is different also in that area and the sensors are different lengths that's why running a lsj crank in an le5 block you need a spacer to pull the sensor back out 0.030 so it dosent hit the relucter

well im still pooling parts, but thats a super easy fix ill see how it fits when i get the block. its only metal, it can all be changed.

UPDATES! SLEEVED BLOCK ON THE WAY!
its currently an 88.5 mm bore, i think im going to bring it out to 90mm that with the l61 crank will make a 2.4l.

so after a trip to the machene shop today i decided the gen2 sleeved block was not really right for the solstice build becuase it would be too hard to put piston squirters in. so im going to punch it out to 90mm and use it for this build, a 90mm bore will make the l61 stroke into a 2.4l with a shorter stroke than the le5. should be pretty snotty. with a m62 on it.

Since you're going to be welding on the intake anyway, why not convert to single pass? Would help lower IATs quite a bit with a 10.5:1CR. Plus you can make a how to that would help me out later. haha
