2.4 Intake Manifold Build

Ok so me being a 2.2 guy and all I ve heard a lot of other 2.2's asking where they can get the 2.4 intake manifold swap or can they just buy all the parts cheaper yada yada. So I ve decided to make a thread that will finally clear everything up on this topic. Here goes...

The ONLY place you can get a complete 2.4 intake manifold swap is from CED here is the link

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...t-W67C144.aspx

Next if you are one of the guys that wants to part the 2.4 intake manifold swap together here is a list of what you will need and the quanity (all part numbers are through GM Parts Direct)

2.4 Intake Manifold http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm
Throttle Body gasket 12600729 x1
Port Gasket* 24455112 x4 (one for each port)
Seal 12589516 x1
CED's spacer plate http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...P1820C137.aspx
Brake Booster Cable (Can not find a part number)

*You can reuse your old port gaskets instead of buying new ones if you carefully remove them

Please note that 07's will not need the spacer plate if you are parting the 2.4 intake manifold together. Also note that this is for 05-07 2.2s this hasn't been tested on 08's and I haven't heard of anybody trying this on an 08 yet.

I am not implying in any way which one is cheaper (I personally bought mine through CED) This is just an informative list about the 2.4 intake manifold swap. If there is anything else that I missed or you think is missing please update me so as I can edit thanks.

By the way my first thread so mods if i m in the wrong section or didn't follow one of the rules let me know I don't feel like getting banned

you don't need to buy the manifold-to-head gaskets...
