Stripped a Bolt doing a Mani Swap

2.2 to 2.0 S/C Mani Swap

ok on the top of the stock 2.2 Mani i got the 4 bolts and 1 nut then i lifted the car up

the Mani to DP bolts is where i messed up. on the bottom left i got that nut off, the bottom right was a little tough, then it was almost impossible to move. finally i got it but the nut and the thrad rod came out of the mani. was it suppose to? i never touched the nut on top od the DP

does the DP have threads or just the header?

Those studs should be threaded on bothe ends. You should be able to get new ones. Unless you pulled the threads out of the mani in that case you could try taping it or drill it out and use alonger bolt and nut.

Are you talking about the 3 studs at the very bottom of the manifold where it bolts to the down pipe?
when i took mine out they were a son of a gunt o get out and they were tight! one nut was seezed to the stud so the part came out looking like a screw (nut and stud still attached) if that happens dont worry about it, its fine.
UNLESS your talking about the manfold bolting to the back of the block.
when i took mine off the block i only had one out of the 10 that came out like that

but when you say its stripped where is it stripped at?
can you get pics?
