1)can stage 3 cams be run with stock valve springs? i thought i read they can't but i don't remember where i saw it.
2)can the stock bottom end spin to 8000 rpm?i know my car has a 6750 red line, and i rented a auto 07 and that had a 7000 rpm red line.
just thinkng about down the road, and what i want to do with this terd, while i'm 4 beers deep
nothing new...

you need more than springs, go to TTR's site, you pretty much need everything they have under engine internals, as far as rev'n past 8k i woudlnt know...you cant rev past 7500 or u'll get float...
that woudl def help, double check the stats of them compared to the cams, make sure they can take it...im at work so i can focuz too much on it right now, but you will need new speings, retainers, etc anyway, that seems like a good deal, also while ur tearing the head down anyway, you shoudl look into some stainless steel valves, check out TTR site, i think they have them for a decent price
You have two issues. First, as talked about above, the stock valve springs can not handle that much lift, they will coil bind. Get some Ferrea's, they are the best. You won't even have to change the stock valves or remove the head.
Second, if you are going to spin faster then 7000, now you will need a lot more then you think. You will have problems with the oil pump, water pump, balance shafts, timing chain, rods, pistons, should I go on? You really don't have to spin your engine that fast to get good power. It's just silly really.

yeah i agree with halfcent here. i mean yeah, most of power is found in higher rev range, but as for what you want dont even bother. things WILL go wrong. and WILL cost you a lot of money.

That's because they are designed to provide a torque band more suited for a higher RPM range. You don't want to do that. Don't think of the word "stage" as being "better". You want a cam that keeps your torque band inside your usable RPM range. If you have a 6500-7000 RPM engine, then use a cam designed for it.

can i run the stage 2 with stock valve springs? i want to get cams but i wanna go more aggresive then stage 1.
