The issue is the new motor mount is larger than the stock one.
Consequently it wont fit underneath the stock airbox.
The GM performance and the K&N Typhoon intakes both use part of the stock airbox when you install them, the Injen does not.
However, you can dremel out part of the bottom of the stock airbox to make it fit.

They do make one for auto's, just do a little internet browsing

nvm, i broke down and got the link for you: http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...dcategory=5615

Correct, the TTR engine mount WILL fit with the factory air box, if you slightly trim the factory air box where it is needed. There maybe a slight interference issue which trimming will fix

You do remove the complete stock part, but you add back in a K&N "heat shield box"

Look on the photo on www.TurboTechRacing.com you will see what we mean.

I know members do have the K&N intake AND the TTR mount, however they never stated back if it is a direct fit or if it needs slight trimming.

Our guess is the TTR mount is a direct fit, with no trimming needed.

see that's what i was under the impression of. i knew the entire stock airbox came out. i wasn't sure what you meant by retaining some of the stock airbox. i knew that the heat shield is basically req'd. but i mean if it really came down to it i'm sure i could work something out. i work in a machine shop. and we have many people who know what they are doing when it comes to working and cutting if necessary.

if it comes down to it, i know u can just trace over the heat shield where u need to cut and take my angle grinder to it(uses cutting wheel), that will cut the shield if needed...i used it on my exhaust, cut thru it like scissors to paper(and not them ghay safety scissors)
