To tell you the truth i see no deference in 07 manifolds to 08 manifolds. i have an 07 and i looked at the 08 and the look identical IMO

yah CED claims its a new mani. When i eventually get my intake and have it all ripped apart i'll be sure to take lots of pics while the mani is exposed. I am trying to get a hold of CED to see when they think they will have an option available.

my communication with CED yesterday and this mourning:

I said yesterday.

I live in Canada and i see there is no option to select "province" instead of state but that isn't my question just a comment. My question is when do you think you will have tested the 2.4L intake manifold on the 2008 2.2L? I am really interested but want confirmation its going to work before i spend money. Thanks a lot! Chris

they said this mourning:

Hello,

Thank you for your email.
I will pass your comment on to our IT department.

Sorry but at this time, we have no plans to test the intake further.

Thanks

I Said in reply:

That's unfortunate, I am a member of Cobaltss.net and we have been
noticing with the 08's that we believe the intake manifold to be the
same as the 07. When I get and install my intake would taking pictures
of the manifold off of my 08 help any to figure out whether or not our
suspicions are correct? If they are shouldn't it just bolt up just like
the 07 ?

Thanks again!

They said in reply:

Hi,

While it may help the only way to make sure is to actually do an install and dyno for the results.
At this time we are not able to schedule this in.

Thanks

my last message to them:

Alright guys, Thanks anyways... really hope you will get to this sometime ... there has been an expressed interest on Cobaltss.net in the 2008 2.2l with this manifold swap the sooner you can make time the sooner you will potentially generate more sales but that's not my business. I will still e-mail you pictures of my manifold and the bolt locations if you do decide to look into it further.

Shitty Deal for us i guess for the time being unless someone is willing to take the plunge under warranty lol

Help out CED....Buy an 07 2.4L manifold, the PCV plate, and the TB plate from CED. If it fits and works post it; if it doesn't work ask beforehand if you could send it back. Become their guinea pig tester for this.

okay....the physical appearance of the manifolds have changed. Whoopty doo! but the bolt pattern and the outlet dimensions are still the same across the board. So...the 08 2.4 Manifold looks almost exactly like an 05-07 2.2 Manifold....hmm....tell you anything.....

so....get the 2.4 Kit....install it on an 08 2.2....if it works then it works....if it doesn't...throw it in the Classifieds and it will be bought by somebody that wants one for 07 and below....

or how about this.....if somebody has an 08 2.2 here in NC that is close enough to me..then they can drive over here....i will pull my 2.4 Mani off my car, and put it on their car just to show that it works, but you don't get to keep it lol. Any Takers?
