Eagle Rods
Wiesco Pistons (stock compression)
ARP headstuds
done.
thats the bare minimum I'd go with if I were building a 2.2, check turbotechracing.com...they've got everything listed thats available for the bottom end. I don't know if its necessary to go with new bearings or not, maybe someone else can chime in there.

i know the trim army will likely try and flame me for this, but its a valid suggestion so blow me
have you considered using that 4 grand to trade your car in for something with more power from the factory? thats a big chunk of change.

I want to do the same and I agree with Ion. But given a few people, does everyone think the manifold (2.4 or 2.2) will hold up to a 100 shot? Or will it just kinda explode like it has for a few people. Just curious.
But anyways.....IonNinja's suggestion sounds good to me!!

The issue with the manifold was, I believe, puddling in the manifold as well as a defective window switch. (Rollermandan can correct me if I got that wrong) The manifold should hold fine with a 100 shot.

Ahhhh right I see, that would definatly make sense lol.
As far as cams I beleive halfcent told me stock cams on the 2.2 are good to 400 or 500hp (I'm pretty sure it was 400) sooo you should definatly be good with your stock cams.
