Itz because of you already being in motion and once u downshift the RPM are higher and you have more of a power build up (especially w/ a CAI). This is why from a dig its not the same.

just curious, how did you get that response from my original post? Where does it say that i wanted something different? and how would it have made more sense?
u asked about acceleration i mean correct me if im wrong......i was just adding in there that if you would have bought a stick it wouldnt have mattered how fast or slow it accelerated cause you can control it correct me if im wrong.....

True dat. You know you have an LS when you:
Have no power besides in your stereo and lights
No floor mats
Loose window rollers
Continental with hubs

But hey, more money for your personal tastes in the car and not GM's generic taste.

then you have a LT, the de3aler added the stuff afterwards, or your car was improperly badged

yea mine spins whole 1st gear-5th...ohh never mind,it was snowing outside on almost bald tires..

reason is that when u floor the car in 1st or 2nd some cars CHOKE and get lost..so it takes them time to realize that they are lost before it can build its power and pull(3rd gear)

I dunno. It does have the aluminum 15s, so thats the only thing i went by in believing its a LS. I have the 2005. From what i've seen the LT comes with the 16s. Then again you never know. lol.

believe me if you have anything really as an option you have an LT. The LS comes with absolutely nothing.

But the one thing i do have that im proud of is my side curtain airbags. Dont know how those got put on there as an option but nothing else but it sure did

And i def had the 15 in steelies for a while but they had to go.

ok, let me clear something up... the 2005 "LS" is the same as the 2006 "LT"... you can have 16's and power on an LS of any year, it's called the sports package. Jeff, (hackabuse) has those options because he has the "Sports Package" which includes the rims, sterring wheel controls, etc... In 2006, I believe the difference between the LS and the LT is that the LT comes with the sports package.

My first impression is maybe that your listening to your engine and its shift points and getting fooled by that.

If you ease it, your engine will shift earlier into the next gears.
Maybe unconsciously it sounds like its going through the gears quicker?

because if you mash it your tranny wont shift until redline, thereby sound like its taking longer to get through each gear?

I dunno, just thinkin outloud.

A Very long one. 150kms per day plus weekends which vary between 400 - 1000kms.

I love to drive very much. It's what I do to pass the time.
