That head has been around for a while. Ive personally seen 5 STGII heads w/ Patriot(and MantaPart) valvtrain fail. Stick with stock LSJ/LNF for better valves, and Ferrea for valves/springs. SUpertech is popular, but Ive never been able to confirm or disprove if they are who makes Patriot and Mantaparts house brand valves.

does anyone know if the new vlaves are larger than stock? it says the valves diameter, but not the stock ones, so i dont have a size difference. At any rate, I would probably buy the head from OTT Perofrmance

Yes the STGII head has +1mm oversize valves.

Its debateble whether they are worth it on an NA car or not.

i've been running that head for about a year now...have yet to really be able to take advantage of it though since I'm still on stock cams for now.

if i had to do it all over again i'd put the money into the bottom end. oh, and just to save anyone the trouble...know that you must make an EGR blockoff plate since you'll get an old style head.
