Before you install the pistons. have the block cleaned and cylinders honed.

alright status update. I've takin off oil pan, valve cover, and now I'm working on the timing chain prepping it so putting back on should be a snap

Get a new timing chain set, comes with new rails and a new chain guide.

i didn't know I need one I don't really have the time either to get a new one. HOWEVER pistons are out, honing is done, block is clean and S*&^'s about to get real

im at a stopping point for my build. byt isnt messaging me back. this is my daily so he was going to do install on a sat and finish and tune sunday and off i went but who knows now.
its going to sit in my basement

well look at it this way you're rebuilding the engine with brand new mechanical parts. might as well insure that all the internals are proper so that later on your not replacing ****, and worst case jumping timing. it happens.

nick at byt said he can install my SC kit but he isnt responding to me. but right now i have a intake and full exhaust.

that's a bummer man, Chevy gave me the wrong bolts to replace for the Timing Chain Sprocket. So looks like I'm out a car till next thursday

i don't know about how long they should last. but i know this much, when you unseat **** and then re-install it and beat on it a little harder weak parts break first. chains are weak and cheap to replace while the engine is on a stand.

alright, so how do I connect the MAF sensor to the intake. My stock one is on the passenger side and my new one is in the wheel well of the driver side. Any links would be greatly appreciated
