Am I just being paranoid?

Well first off sometimes I am a bit of a worry wart(?) and I worry about my car alot , she has 5000 miles on her and Its a 5sp 2.2 , So when I first had the car it ran great for the first 2500 miles and now for some reason I just dont feel like its running the same , I did just change the oil yesterday and I allways do that on time and I allways put mobile 1 synthetic in even tho its a lil extra $ ..so I made a list of little things my car does that are potentially worrysom....

1. when I start the car , RPMS only go to 1200 and take 2-3 minutes to settle down to normal Idle(800-900) .... normally its goes (turn key , fire up and you see the rpms go up then back down to idle .... it used to be consistent and now its not also I remember noting how quiet my car was when I first got it ... now not so much...... maybe im just paranoid but yeah I notice EVERYTHING. could this be because its getting colder?????

2. I used to press the gas in neutral and revv to 3000 and rpms would come back down calmly and now I do it and they drop like a sack of rosie o'donnel . (could this also be because its coldeR?) the throttle also used to have more response.....

3. clutch sometimes feels clunky .... from 1-2 mostly and I feel friction in my big toe when first depressing the clutch and right as I let it out.... it used to be smooth like butter.....

4. when its cold the gearbox feels reaaaalllllly tight like hard to push into gear.

my buddy said my clutch is just broken in now and That my car is running a lil rough because of the winter..... but I am still paranoid..... do any of these things sound normal??

everything sounds pretty normal bro. you could always take it to the dealer and see what they have to say about it.

the only 1 i would worry about is #4

Tell us the temperatures outside in Ft. Laud, if it's semi cold, like 40 or below then yeah the RPMs will stay at 11 or 1200 before it gets warm.

Yes the gearbox is tight when cold. The fluid must be warmed up.

The car sounds much rougher during the winter. That's just the way it is. Car runs a lot different. It uses more gas usually. I seriously doubt anything is wrong.

Best advice, let the car warm up and don't beat on it till it's completely warm.

1) Mine does the same thing, it seems normal for colder weather
2) never had that problem (at least how you described it)
3) again never had it
4) happens when its cold

Are you happy to wake up when it's cold... well neither is your car lol sounds normal to me. mine does the same so I start it and lit it warp up for a min or two. but I cant help with the shifting part since mine's an auto

unless it starts shaking or rattling at idle, I wouldn't worry too much. As for the shifting: sounds like you're shifting at too low of rpms and it's bogging (just said this in a previous post), just think about where your usuable torque is.
