You don't want that.. Thats not for the 2.2l or the 2.4l.

You have an 05 so you have probably 8 pins which means you'll need an 8 pin TB from a 2.4l cobalt.
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...=180572&page=2 - You need a TB from an 05-07 2.4l cobalt.

I heard trying to adapt the LSJ TB would be hard and is bigger than needed. Just get a 2.4 TB.
I believe 05-07 2.4 TBs are 8-pin and 08-up 2.4 TBs are 6-pin.

Do you have the original manifold or the 2.4 manifold?

I would recommend getting the manifold first, my opinion.
I ordered mine and it's on the way.

The 2.4L cobalts TB bolts just fine to the 2.4L cobalts intake manifold. With a plate the 2.2L cobalts TB bolts to the 2.4L cobalts intake manifold. If you're asking if the 2.4L cobalts TB will work on the 2.2L cobalts intake manifold I dunno.

from what ive done with mine you need to change the intake manifold as well..get yourself a 2.4 manifold and 2.4 throttle body and then you will need a tune. im waiting a while before i put on the 2.4 TB so i used my 2.2 TB and i felt a nice gain from just the Intake Manifold

Go to crateenginedepot.com -- they have a complete 2.4L intake kit for the 2.2L engine. You can also buy the TB from them.

If you use the 2.4TB then you wont need the adapter plate or paper gasket that goes between just the throttle body gasket and then mount that bad boy on top tune and then your done.

You need the 2.4 TB gasket if you are using the 2.4 mani. the 2.2 TB gasket will not fit into the 2.4 Mani.

Would you or anybody happen to know the part # for the 2.4 throttle body gasket? I found the 2.2 gasket on GMPD but couldn't find the 2.4 gasket.
