Header/Dp combo question...
Ok, my buddy drives a Redline Ion and he upgraded his header and DP. I was able to pick up his stock manifold and DP for 20 bucks. Amazingly enough, the manifolds on the SC car and my super duper powerful 2.2 are the same other than 02 sensor bung locations. I wasnt gonna get the manifold but had to run it because of the sensor location. I immedietly noticed a difference, but now im wanting more. Im wanting to get a new actual header and DP, but i dont know whats the best bang for the buck and whether i can trust the cheapy ebay stuff or not. Anybody have an opinion? And im sure as heck not wanting to go catless so keep that in mind. I may have to go with a highflow because meany of the DP's ive seen are catless......poo.
yeah i was gona through out obx as a good option for you but it is a catless( but very cheap option.. i beleave its like 150 ish on ebay... also i have used it before and its a great header and dp combo. you could always get a highflow welded in for prob 70 bucks( including cost of cat). but persoanly if ur a N/A car u dont want a huge header dp because it will flow to much and cause you to loose the low end torque u just picked up with the header dp combo( LSJ stock ) Any other questions ask me i can help ya out...
also i stumbled upon this its a pacesetter header dp and a pritty descent price for never used( i beleave its like 195 bucks for both and there definatly a descent setup... people with super hi hp numbers are using the pacesetter header... the link here https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show....php?t=183643( copy and paste it)
Ps: to all the pacesetter header haters i dont have 1 but personaly know some pritty high hp lsj's that use them.

Yea, im loving the new bit of power i picked up and am debating on keeping the SC DP, prob end up just replacing the manifold with a header. Ive actually been looking at the pacesetter...seeing if anyone would suggest it

i think its a sticky...l61 upgrade parts list...theres quite a few there and check the supporting vendors too, some of them arnt to badly priced in comparison to ebay if your just looking for a chep setup...i just bought an armor coated pace setter header from another member for like 85bucks..so check the classifieds too, might find a higher end setup for closer to your price range.
