i've been searching for a sound clip of the gmpp performance exhaust on a 2.2 cobalt but haven't had any success. Does anyone have a soundclip of it?

I might be getting it soon (sinc eI want an exhaust and keep my warranty)

But there are two kinds, the sport and the touring.

According to GMPP.com or whatever, the touring is aggressive and the sport is more aggressive than stock (both). So do you want loud, or louder? Plus, it'll still sound like a 4-banger, just louder! lol

The sport catback is like $429 from Click Here and I think another $100 or so for the touring.

Both are louder than the stock exhaust, but the sport is louder than the touring. To keep the factory warranty, have it installed by a GMPP Certified Dealership.

I just checked the link, and the site is under construction. I guess your best bet to do (if you want the GMPP Catback soon) is to go to a certified dealer and get a quote with the cost of the system and labor!
