Yeah you gotta loop the wires together to complete the Communication bus if youre still using an auto harness.

Easiest way to do this swap is change all the wiring and modules inside to what you want them to be, in this case, an 06 manual.

I am using the engine harness off the manual car I pulled, the whole whole engine plus trans out of the doner and stuck it in a auto car with a blown engine. I originally used the ecm out of the manual car too but been swapping back and forth with the ecm out of the auto car to try to get something to work, i have a tech2 with a tis2 login and pass, and also an mdi, ( they belong to my job but am able to bring them home)

ok so i feel like an idiot, there was a plug right above the brake booster that i missed, plugged it in and used the Automatic transmission ecu, because there was no communication when using the manual trans ecu, but it does now run! The question now is just leave it, or do i still need to reprogram ecu/bcm for manual, i had to use a wire to jump the starter to get it to start, and tips on jumping the park safety switch? i did see two plugs above ethe clutch pedal, but the clutch switch didnt survive, using the manual transmission engine harness will it already be wired to those switches and i can jump those? i am still waiting on payday to order a new master cylinder for the clutch as well and i need one stud for the exhaust flange, probably just gonna match the thread to a bolt at work tomorrow.

I'm super excited, i been dialying my "racecar" which is a 1986 300zx with microsquirt, ever since my jeep took a dump, i cant wait to be able to park my z and install a piles of mods ive been waiting to install on it!

Do you have the tcm from the auto car in there as well? I'm wondering if you have a speed signal. I don't know how it is for yours, but in the e67 cars, the vss goes to the tcm for the auto cars but directly to the ecm for the manual cars.

Turns out my,clutch switch was good and a simple press of the pedal and it cranked with the key. My original plan was to swap subframe with out disconnecting anything from the motor only removing the engine harness plug from under the fuse box under the hood, still basically did the samething except the subframe,in the doner car was stuck rusted to the bottom of the car, so i pulled the entire motor plus trans never disassembling anything except the two motor mount bolts and placed it on thr subframe out of the automatic vehichle, plugged the manual trans engine harness straight into the fuse box of the automatic car, and seems everything is plug and play, car runs good with out chexk engine lights until i plug in my power steering i dunno whats up with the power steering as long as the air con works I could care less about the power steering

ok so i drove the car today and the speedometer in fact did not work, still saying check air bags and power steering, i broke the key fob receiver so im waiting for a new one to actually go in and try to program every thing, but i am really liking the car even though i was driving without a clutch master cylinder, (one on the way) i was getting some weird water dripping under the passenger side firewall, im thinking the heater core is leaking? no ac yet so it cannot be ac, and i am getting a weird clickedy when i first turn the car on, dreading having to pull the dash again, but if the leak is persistent i will be bypassing the heatercore till closer to winter, randomly cuts off every once in a while when i pull it out of gear, and the car so quiet i cant even tell when it does till i dont move, im hoping reprogramming will fix alot, but not sure about speedometer, anyone have any clues to make the speedometer work?
