Will the stock lsj belt fit with the 2.9 pulley?

Yea I saw, I actually need a couple things from u but I won't have any money till Wednesday.. o btw do u know if the stock belt will fit on the 2.9?

 

With a 2.9 pulley you're gonna need a Stage 2 belt. Im pretty sure of that one.

 

Does anyone have the part number for the stage 2 belt so I can just get it from the store

You have one in your pic in the first post. It's the thing with four holes right on the bottom left of the heat exchanger. Also known as the alternator bracket.

wheres the lift hook that needs to be cut?

 

Never had to cut any lift hook, just had to remove the front one and grind down where it bolted on because my tensioner pulley was rubbing.

 

I'm starting my build within the month so I am excited to see someone else doing it too! good luck man

so apparently the motor mount or lift hook on the 05-06 cobalt are different from the 07+ ..damn it.

 

its an 06 LT. Well soon to be LT/SC. I'll probably be stalking your build thread since we're doing the same thing to the same engine lol

 

i cant get this damnn belt on!!!.. if anyone got an easier way please let me know. im freaking out man!
