I was wondering what bolt ons i can put on my car that i wont have to replace if i go FI later. I know CAI and cat back but what else can i replace?

 

Depends on what kind of FI..?

Turbo - nothing, all will be changed from intake, intake manifold, header, downpipe and catback.
Supercharge - Intake and intake manifold will be changed but header/dp/cat back can still be used.
Nitrous - intake, intake manifold, header, dp, catback can be used.

 

If u go s/c later on u can't use CAI from 2.2/2.4, u could get header n downpipe, an also 2.4 Intake manifold,2.4 throttle body.

If u go t/c later on u cant use CAI 2.2/2.4,Header,

 

you can use your intake manifold if you go turbo.

if you want a 2.4 intake manifold and throttle body, i got it for sale for you for dirt cheap, $125 plus shipping

 

plus $ for a tune.

 

i thought u didnt need a tune for the 2.4 IM

 

Not for just the IM but for the TB you will.

BUT, you should get it tuned so you get the most potential from it.

 

you're not required to tune with the 2.4 IM but you will miss out on the top end power it opens up.

Yeah, 2.4 doesnt require a tune but you'll likely lose power all over especially down low if you dont. Make sure you add in a bunch of spark advance down low when you tune it to make up for the lost airflow.
