Get new valve seals too. Also depending on the damage you did, you may need new rockers and lifters too. What happened to your engine?

i know stems. the only concern is that it states in the kit that i need smaller stems... i guess i'll figure that out. i don't believe i blew a rocker or lifter, but would there be a way to know that?

that's what happened lol

Damn dude that sucks. If the rockers and lifters are still where they should be then you shouldn't need to replace them. You will have to bleed the oil out of the lifters before reinstalling them though. Curious about how all that damage occurred.

Couldn't tell you because I can't really tell what you're getting by looking at the picture. As long as they are for a cobalt they will work in your stock head.

Yep those will work for you. I'm not sure what the deal is with the smaller seal though

Awesome thanks!

If you look at the description for the seats, it says it requires smaller seals.... Insight anyone?

New plan...
Zzp 82# springs and retainers
Supertech intake valves
Supertech exhaust valves
Supertech valve guides
Supertech valve seat
Viton valve seals

Good plan? All compatible?

Sounds like a good plan. Only thing I'd ask about is wherever you buy the seals from, I'd ask them if they work with the supertech valves

I bought the seals from dezod. And in the supertech valve guide description, it says that those are required to work with the guides. Assuming that all supertech parts are compatible

I think I might be one of only a few l61 with fully built, port polished head. I am running the Supertech #78 springs, Ti retainers, custom seats, Supertech coated valves, and 5 angle race port and polish from Performance Autowerks. We thought this would be plug and play for stock, but was not. The stock size valves are fine, but custom work to head and seats is required. IF need more exact information, I would contact my man Dave or Ricky at PWerks in Plainfield, IL.

Valves are fine, its the 78# supertech kit that needs custom work to head and seats. I think you should be fine with zzp, but I would ask them.
