i tried looking for the catalytic converter on my 2.2...yeah i cant find it. someone said it could be part of the resonator ...thats not true is it? i plan on (for money saving) just getting a custom resonator back exhaust for now....to save money mostly ...and i cant find the cat..lol...where is it!?!?!

Its a part of the downpipe close to where the exhaust manifold ends. If you're looking into the engine bay with the engine cover removed, you probably won't see it. Its likely obscured by the firewall.

The easiest way to see it is to take off the engine cover (which for Wikky is already done), look straight down the exhaust pipe standing above the engine, and its the last thing you see before the pipe is hidden under the rest of the car. It has the O2 sensor lead wire coming from it. The resonator has no electical connection.
