cavy and cobalt 2.2 difference

Can somebody who knows, and I mean really knows not just thinks, please post what the difference between the 2.2 eco cavy and the 2.2 cobalt engines are. People are saying that they are so close but if they are why arn't the 2.2 people buying all kinds of crap that already out that will work for the engine. They are waiting for the cobalt stuff to come out. Thanks in advance for the HELPFUL feedback.

I dont know the exact differences but I do know that the 2.2 in my rental cobalt ls sedan feels much more powerful than the 2.2 in my wifes '02 Cavy.

things to take into consideration, it's the same motor but the computers are programmed a bit different so they react differently, the motor bays are slighlty different for the fact that some things are customized to fit under the cavailer engine bay over the cobalt engine bay, yes, they do share the same parts and components but like the header to the down pipe is bent slightly different for clearance.

overall minor differences all over but they share the same parts.

Since the two cars are built on different platforms the engine bay area as mentioned are different between the two cars. So a lot of parts designed for the Cavalier require reworking to fir correctly in the newer Cobalt engine bay.

Thanks guys this is the type of things I was looking for. What cavy aftermarket things could I use for direct bolt on and what things won't work or would need reworking?

just about everything outside of the motor casing will need rework, pullies, pumps, etc

The internals are all the same.
