CEL on then off

I had a CEL the other day, i would have gone to autozone for a free scan but im really bogged with school and taking the MCAT this saturday, i checked my gas cap, general connections and oil/ coolant, did not hear anything along the lines of missing, or a rough idle so i continued to drive, are there any frequent issues i should know of?

without the code no one can tell you. could be any # of hundreds of different things. the code is stored, so you can get it read later. if the car is still driving fine and nothing changed, you should be fine to drive.

Probably the thermostat. after the motor warms all the way up to normal running temp for a prolonged period of time the light turns off.
