Debadgeing, How Hard Is It

hey guys i was wondering how much residual adhesive is left behind after i were to pell the badges off like the emblem and the cobalt thing???

yeah dental floss works great for any of the badges/side trim crap. and it will leave a decent amount of adhesive behind. pita but looks better when its all done.

Yeah, better to have lots of goop to take off then having scratches. I learned that.





Oh, and not to try taking the badge off in 35 degree weather.

LoL went i took the chevy emblem off the trunk lid it took 2 little spots of paint with it so be careful. Thanks god i had touch up paint

x2, use some fishing line/floss. and goo gone for the left over glue stuff

just be careful with fishing line. if you were to pull on it for some reason the line could cut into your skin.

Just grab a hair dryer, not a heat gun, unless you like melting your badging to the trunk lol.

Some fishing line, and goo gone.

Step 1:
Heat the badge up nicely

step 2:
begin shimmying the fishing line inbetween the car and badge

step 3)
apply goo gone w/ microfiber

step 4)
wash and wax debadged area
