defouler fitment

too close to the sheet metal or is this good enough? probably taking it off after inspection on wednesday but still want to make sure it's not going to cause any issues being that close to the sheet metal.

I would give the down pipe a wiggle and see if it is going to come into contact much. If it doesn't look like it is going to rub it should be fine.

Touches a tiny bit. It never got hot when I tested it but still a little close for comfort. Might just take it off after inspection

how many threads are in the downpipe? it looks like you would gain quite a bit of clearance threading it in more

Not sure but the heat shield wouldn't allow it to go farther. I just need to be code free for inspection. Once I do the exhaust manifold I'll probably put it back on better. Just didn't have the time I needed to drop the downpipe
